  3. Partnerships for Innovation

OnFoods integrated universities, research bodies and private entities within a structured framework for technology transfer and industrial validation.

Collaboration with industry was embedded within the research architecture itself, rather than treated as a final dissemination step. Scientific results were progressively evaluated through prototype development, pilot testing and validation under real production conditions.

Industrial partners, including large companies, SMEs, start-ups and research spin-offs, contributed expertise, infrastructure and market knowledge. This interaction strengthened the pathway from experimental results to applicable solutions and reinforced the connection between scientific innovation and production systems.

Innovation activities followed a progressive trajectory, moving from early-stage research outputs to prototype development, pilot testing and industrial validation. This approach enabled structured interaction between research teams and industrial stakeholders, supporting feasibility assessment and applied experimentation.
