Funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Mission 4 Component 2 Investment 1.3, Theme 10.
Our project falls within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which the Italian Government has prepared as part of the Next Generation EU program. We are one of the 14 partnerships selected under the Education and Research mission, for the theme Models for Sustainable Nutrition.
OnFoods promotes Open Data Science with open-access contributions, including articles, working papers, and policy briefs. The research outputs address key topics such as the right to food and nutritional health, combining transparency and collaboration to disseminate knowledge valuable to both the scientific community and society.
Our Founding Partners play a central role in this vision, contributing to scientific governance, strategic direction and the translation of research into tangible applications. Through their long-term engagement, they help shape a clear and replicable pathway from knowledge generation to industrial innovation, strengthening the role of research as a driver of sustainable growth across the agrifood sector.
Conceived to broaden participation through new public–private consortia, the Cascade Funding initiative supports research and innovation projects with a strong involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises. By enabling co-funded activities focused on technological transfer and industrial validation, this instrument enhances territorial impact, fosters collaboration across value chains and accelerates the development of solutions closer to market readiness.
Today, with the "medialization of science," public visibility is increasingly integrated into scientific practice without compromising quality. To address this challenge, OnFoods Magazine publishes weekly articles, interviews, and updates, making OnFoods research accessible to the public. Our goal is to balance accessibility with scientific rigor.
