About the selection

The OnFoods Foundation is the entity that acts as the Hub within the project "ON Foods - Research and innovation network on food and nutrition Sustainability, Safety, and Security - Working ON Foods" (see attached sheet). Funding institution: the project is financed by the European Union - NextGenerationEU - National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) - Mission 4 Component 2 Investment 1.3 - Notice No. 341 of 15/03/2022 from the Ministry of University and Research; Project data: Protocol of the request PE0000003, financing concession decree No. 1550 of 11/10/2022, CUP B93B22000070006.

Through this notice, the Foundation intends to select the Programme Research Manager who will be responsible for the technical and management coordination of the entire project from September 2023 to December 2025.

The applied contract is the National Collective Labor Contract for employees of companies in the Tertiary sector of Distribution and Services. Considering the duration of the project financed by the Ministry of University and Research, which is 3 years, the position opened by this notice refers to a fixed-term contract of 28 months, expiring on 31.12.2025.

Subject to current legal provisions at the conclusion of the fixed-term contract, the Foundation reserves the right to extend the contract or transform it into an indefinite-term contract.

The selection of personnel and the methods of access to employment within the Foundation are based on principles of publicity, transparency, impartiality of procedures, and attention to gender balance, aimed at highlighting the criteria adopted in the selection of human resources to be acquired.

Professional Profile

Programme Research Manager

Functions and Responsibilities
  • The Programme Research Manager is the coordinator of the technical and management activities of the Foundation and is responsible for the administrative management of the entire project, in accordance with decisions made by the Board of Directors (CdA).
  • Supports the President of the Board in managing relationships with spoke leaders.
  • Assists the President of the Board in dealings with the Ministry of University and Research (MUR).
  • Collaborates in defining procedures, timelines, and methods for the circulation of information between spokes and the hub.
  • Is responsible for monitoring compliance with agreements between the hub and spokes.
  • Coordinates the communication of ONFOODS.
  • Identifies critical issues and proposes corrective actions, consulting the Board of Directors if necessary.
  • Is responsible for the Foundation's obligations (assemblies, approval processes for budgets, transparency, procedures, safety, privacy, etc.).
  • Is responsible for the Foundation's personnel.
  • Identifies project-related issues, verifies the work of spokes, and proposes corrective actions.
  • Collaborates in monitoring deliverables in terms of timelines, use of established formats, and information completeness.
  • Manages the document repository and the circulation of information among project partners.
Requirements
  • Hold a master's degree or equivalent or an equivalent qualification with legal value in Italy.
  • Have at least 10 years of work experience in activities related to the reference profile, including at least 5 years in roles managing highly complex projects.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
Position and Remuneration
  • Executive Level of the National Collective Labor Contract for employees of companies in the Tertiary sector of Distribution and Services.
  • Maximum annual gross salary of EUR 90,000.00, including a performance bonus to be negotiated between the parties and subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
